Dan graduated in 1973 from Indianapolis High School and Attended college at Baptist Bible College, Springfield Missouri. He and his wife have 4 children, Jeff, Missy, John and Christi. They have 6 grandchildren. Dan and Bill, the owner of Pathfinder, have a lot in common. Dan, like Bill, is a pilot. He enjoys flying whether it is just a short local flight or a longer flight to Illinois, West Virginia or Dayton Beach, Florida. to visit family.
To Dan, nothing is more relaxing then getting up in the air and enjoying God's creating. His professional experience started when he purchased a water well drilling business when he was 16 years and continued to operate it for over twenty years. Today it is the largest well drilling business in the state of Indiana. He sold the business to become more involved in the church ministry. Dan has worked with Kessler Krest Baptist Church since 1970. He was music director for over twenty years, assistant pastor for two and half years and became senior pastor in 1997 where he still serves as senior pastor. The name of the church is now Restoring Hope Community Church.
Dan started his insurance career under the leadership of Pat Rooney, founder of Golden Rule Insurance and creator of the Health Savings Account (HSA). He worked closely with Pat at Medical Savings Insurance and within a couple of months, after being hired as an agent selling individual health insurance policies, became Sales Manager. He continued in that position until Pat passed away, at which time Medical Savings Insurance was absorbed by Golden Rule. Shortly after that, in March of 2009, Dan became an instructor with Pathfinder and in the fall of 2011 added the responsibility of Office Manager.
